Are you passionate about wine? Love to be outdoors? Curious to learn what it takes to produce top-quality wine?
Be a winemaker for a year!
Rent your own grapevines and take care of them for a full year. A professional producer will help and guide you through the steps – from the grape to the bottle.
Small is beautiful – that is what best describes Austrian wine, which is well known for its quality and long history.
Purbach, a small idyllic town in Burgenland, offers you the opportunity to learn how to be a winemaker. You can rent your very own “Weinstock” (grapevines) and experience on site what it takes to grow quality wine. Six times a year, starting in February, you can personally cultivate your 100 grapevines.
Step by step, the local winemaker guides you through the process of caring for your grapes. Additionally, after you finished your work in the vineyard, one of the eight winemakers invites you to a tasting in his wine-cellar to learn the theoretical aspects of what it takes to produce top-quality wine. Fall brings the highlight of the year: the harvest of your own wine.
Fill 100 bottles of your wine and create personal labels. Truly a wine-lover’s dream!
